2. What this notice covers
This notice explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data when you visit ranngglobal.com, submit an inquiry or quote request, contact us about a career opportunity, or otherwise communicate with RANNG as a prospective or existing business partner. It applies regardless of where you are located, though certain rights described below (Section 8) are specific to individuals in the EEA/UK, and others (Section 9) are specific to individuals in India. This is a business-to-business (B2B) corporate website — we don't currently operate customer accounts, online checkout, or payment processing through this site. If that changes, we'll update this policy to cover order and payment data before enabling it.
3. Information we collect
a. Website access (server logs)
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically logs technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps when you browse ranngglobal.com. We use this only for site security, performance monitoring, and fraud prevention, under our legitimate interest in keeping the site safe and functioning. These logs are kept for 30 days and then deleted or anonymized.
b. Contact, inquiry, and quote requests
When you use a "Get In Touch" or inquiry form, we collect what you submit — typically your name, company, email, phone number, and the content of your message. We use this to respond to you, prepare quotes, and manage the resulting business relationship, on the basis of taking steps toward a contract with you or your organization, or our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries. We keep this data for 24 months from last contact, or duration of active relationship plus 5 years.
c. Career and job applications
If you apply for a role via our Careers page, we collect the information you submit (CV, cover letter, contact details) to evaluate your application. We keep this for [6–12 months] after the recruitment process closes, unless you ask us to keep it on file for future openings or we're required to retain it longer for legal reasons.
d. B2B marketing communications
If you've asked to hear from us (e.g. trade show follow-up, newsletter), we send occasional updates about RANNG's products, sustainability initiatives, and news. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting PRIVACY EMAIL.
e. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses only the essential/session cookies that Odoo's website platform sets by default to make the site function (e.g. session management, cookie-consent preference storage). We do not currently run third-party analytics or advertising trackers (such as Google Analytics or ad pixels) on this site. If that changes, we will update this section and our cookie banner accordingly, and request your consent where required before any non-essential cookie is set.
4. Who we share data with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run this website and our business, under appropriate contractual safeguards:
• Odoo S.A. / Odoo Online — our website and CRM hosting provider (based in Belgium, EU).
• Email provider, Microsoft 365.
• Professional advisors (legal, accounting) where necessary.
We do not sell personal data to third parties, and we do not share it for third-party advertising purposes.
5. International data transfers
Because RANNG is headquartered in India with a contact point in Germany, personal data collected through this site may be processed in India, the EU, and by our hosting provider's infrastructure (which may span multiple regions). Where we transfer personal data of EEA/UK individuals outside the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or the transfer being necessary to take steps toward a contract at your request.
6. Automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.
7. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law (e.g. Indian company and tax record-keeping requirements, or contractual record obligations). Specific periods are noted in Section 3; where no period is stated, we retain data for as long as the business relationship or inquiry remains active, plus a reasonable period afterward to address any follow-up questions or legal claims.
8. Your rights (EEA/UK visitors — GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have the right, subject to certain conditions, to:
• access the personal data we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate data;
• request erasure of your data;
• object to or restrict our processing;
• request portability of data you provided to us;
• withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

If you are located in India, under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to access information about how your personal data is processed, request correction or erasure of your data, and file a grievance with us before escalating to the Data Protection Board of India. 10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including access controls and encrypted connections (HTTPS) — to protect the personal data we hold. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to us online.

This website and our services are intended for business use and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18.
